ICE SKATING

Yepp, last friday was the best opportunity to perform some magic tricks on ice. On this beautiful day, we found ourselves in zone two of North London, at a secret place, on a hill with a panoramic view over the skylines of London and its colorful houses.
Like always, we had a lot of fun on ice. I can say I am proud of myself because I helped some beginners to start skating on ice. I should be rewarded for this great achievement as a guide for the ones who need to pioneer the world of ice skating or, better stated, ice breaking. haha....

Ok, i wasn't perfect. I slipped twice and fell on my four letters. (in german we say "POPO" for your butt!). At the end no one was injured, and we had quite a lot of laughter. Who still wants to go and who wants to learn???

Experience and Well being!!

I know that my articles are getting fewer and fewer, time between articles longer and longer. But let me tell you that I do care about my blog. Everyone should be allowed to how my life is going on in the UK.

Everyhing is in order, so far. There is nothing to complain about. Homework is done! Enjoyed social life! Did sports! Actually, no one is able to live healthier than I can. haha....

I went clubbing yesterday at Cavendish square, close to Oxford Circus, if this means anything to you. The event was organised by the LSE'S Malaysian Society. It was very much fun since I was almost dancing throughout the night.
This is the beautifully wrapped building.... and me and my friends....

Last week, we went to the Nottingham games by bus.
This event was organised by the Malaysian society in Nottingham. Every Malaysian Society of every Uni in the UK is invited to this annual event in order to take part in 7 sport activities.
I took part in the football competition

We took the coach at 4 in the morning and came back at 11 in the following evening. The night exhausted me extremely, since I haven't slept and the weather was so cold, especially in the morning.

How we did in the competition? All I can say is that we beat Oxford and Cambridge!! haha...we did very well and the fun factor was also very great.
Here is a photo taken by Zhixin. Thanks Zhixin

My Substitute For My Family In Germany

On the first days, I met so many people and, of course, befriended them with no hesitation. It happened like closing and opening your eyes within a sec. I met many joyous people in the past weeks.

Most of the people are Malaysian because they are on my course. :-)
Chinese people and Hong Kongnese can also be found, as well as British Born Chinese.
They are so much fun, and I also want to be an Malaysian!!

That is Zijian's birtday party. This was a surprise for him. No one congratulated him on his birthday, until dinner. He suspected there was something going on. And at the dinner table, dada!!! Lights went out and birthday cakes were brought into the room....haha...that was a so funny party.

I also met my non-related sisters and brother. John from China on the top and my sisters from Malaysia,( from left) Genevieve and Lijin. This is indeed a substitute for my family in Germany.

at this point, Zijian also wants to be mentioned here. He wants to be an essential part of the family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Room!

Hey, time has passed to fast, and things were brought in motion. I settled down and got familiar with my living area Clerkenwell in Central London. By the way, I study actuarial science. This study is mainly about mathematics and statistics and finance.

Ok, I arrived in a very tidy, small, and cosy room.

No would you like to know, how it looks like? hehe....

The last weeks were a tough experience of life adjustment. British people have their own unique way of language, for the British accent. On the first day, I understood "Bahnhof".(A German expression for nothing or literally train station). Fortunately, in the following weeks I paid more attention to their pronunciation, but still needed to ask them for a repetition.
So far, I am making progress.

I live in a small flat, comprising of a lounge room, 4 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms. I share this flat with two british people, girl and boy, and a chinese girl.

Fly Britain Fly!

Union Jack

I am about to enter a new world and new chapter in my life. As you may have recognized, I am leaving Germany, and go to the UK. I am starting my studies in Actuarial Science.

I feel very excited and a bit nervous. How will it be when I have my first lecture, or when I join a student party? What's the difference between a student party and a birthday party? haha

Will I be able to sustain my life without having any money troubles? This is going to be tough. I figured out that I need a lot.

Prague, City Of Romance

I came to the idea to travel with some people to Prague for a few days. On the trip I thought I could bring along Daniela and Hung. This trip would become an unforgettable adventure....

On an early morning, we set off for Mannheim, Frankfurt, Dresden and Prague. We also need to brace ourself for an 10-hour ride by train.

Then, after 10 hours, we arrived in Prague. First, we were totally confused because no one knew English or German and instead we were milling around the station trying to get change for our big-sized cash, with the aim to buy an underground ticket. It only cost 7 cz and smallest note we had was 2000 cz.

Prague has an ancient town and a modern outter town, plus an amazingly beautiful castle. Throughout the centuries, buildings were preserverd from the age of Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance. Staggeringly, one can find buildings of modern art. All of them were scattered throughout the town.
Here are some pictures to enjoy:

The "Dancing House"

The castle was built in the ninth century, including the Karl's bridge

The Teyn church at the market place

The market place was fully crowded with tourists and Czech people.
I am hiding in this picture. Can you find me? :-)

Especially in the night, Prague offers its romantic atmosphere to couples.

We also found a unique species, which resembles .... sorry, can't describe it!

....which species became aggressive when we bother it:

Utterly, Prague was worth seeing and the food was stunningly reasonable at price.

Dani's Back!

At last I am able to meet a good friend again.

From Left: Hung, Daniela, Me

Daniela just came back to Germany in order to visit her friends.

How did I get to know her? Well, let me begin. Four years ago, Hung once said to me that he got to know a very cute girl at work. So he introduced her to me and since then we used to go out quite often. Somehow we have become very good friends.

However, two years ago, Daniela went to France to do her Abitur, strictly speaking her Baccalauréate. Well, after finishing this she went to London studying architecture last year.

It it so good to see a good friend again after a long while...

Wisdom! Oh, please, don't leave me!

Now the time has come to say goodbye to my wisdom teeth, two on the upper jaw and two on the lower jaw. I am so fortunate to say that I have four to get extracted. I heard my dentist said that there are people with eight wisdom teeth...well, so far, I am lucky!

Nonetheless, I decided to undergo a surgery where the dentist will inject anesthesia into my body and, strictly speaking, I will be sleeping while he extracts my wisdom teeth.

Now I am also proud to tell you that I had this surgery last Thursday!!! hahaha
After my dentist was done with his work, I was brought into a monitoring room where the nurses could take care of me. After I woke up I felt dazed and remarkably relieved.
People told me later that I spoke in English with the nurse while I was unconscious.

Do you want to see the outcome of this adventure?
I think I was ready for a beauty contest. :-)

My cheeks are badly swollen and it hurt so much in the beginning. I could barely open my mouth and crunchy food was totally impossible.

Here comes my treasure. I told the doc to wrap them and save them for me. They look quite ugly and.....big. I can't believe these big teeth were in my mouth. They even felt so ..... Ok, let me stop here!

Here I need to say that I took out the picture of the wisdom teeth, due to some people claiming my teeth are too hideous to look at. And they would distract them from reading!

I hope the puffy mouth will disappear in a few days because if you are not able to eat delicious food, it could be hell.
